Foil Recycling Program

As a pioneer in sustainable beauty practices, one of the ways we demonstrate our commitment to the environment is through our foil recycling program. As a high-end salon, Annastasia Salon recognizes the importance of taking care of the planet, and we are dedicated to implementing eco-friendly practices in our business operations.

Like many hair salons, we use foil for hair coloring services, and in the past, this foil would have ended up in landfill. However, we recognized the opportunity to reduce waste and protect the environment by recycling used foil.

Our foil recycling program is simple yet effective. After a hair coloring service, the stylist collects the used foil and cleans it to remove any residual color or product. They then place it in a designated recycling bin. When the bin is full, it is sent to a local recycling center where the foil is melted down and made into new products. Using local companies to recycle also reduces fossil fuel consumption.

By participating in this program, we are able to divert a significant amount of waste from landfill and promote a more sustainable beauty industry. In addition to recycling foil, we also use eco-friendly products, compost hair, minimize color product use and have partnered with Ridwell for hard to recycle items..

Our foil recycling program is a shining example of how Portland hair salons can make a positive impact on the environment. By taking small yet impactful steps to reduce waste and promote sustainability, we demonstrate our commitment to a better future. We serve as a model for other salons and businesses to follow and inspire us all to make more conscious choices in our daily lives.
