Extension Types
Tape-In
TAPE-IN extensions offer 2 options that clients can utilize in our salon: double-sided and single-sided, which are installed using adhesive tape. This method provides a secure and comfortable feel as well as easy removal and reapplication to the Guest’s hair. Great for all hair types especially clients with thin hair, as tapes lay flat against the head and are virtually undetectable. It is highly recommended for finer and textured hair. Tape-Ins are reinstalled every 6-9 weeks. The advantage of tape-ins is the hair is reusable which can last from 6-12 months. The application process takes about 2 hours.
K-Tip (Keratin Tip)
KERATIN-TIP extensions are installed with a heating tool that bonds a silicone additive to the natural hair for free movement and naturally layered texture. Great for all hair types because the attachment is very small and can be customized by cutting the hair extension to be virtually undetectable. This method is perfect for someone who loves to put their hair up and go as it provides flexible movement.
K-Tips are single-strand “keratin infused hair”, it wears up to 4-6 months. The application process takes 3-6 hours, but it is worth it. K-Tips are great for someone who wants to be low maintenance. They stay in your hair until they’re ready to be taken out with no move-ups required. K-Tips are great for active lifestyles! You can be all sweaty and oily, but this K-Tips extension will hold up. Also, 360 degree mobility means you can wear your hair up and no one will even know the extensions are there. What is special about this K-Tips extension is they are customizable.
I-Tip
I-TIP extensions are installed using strand by strand beaded application for maximum versatility and movement along with easy removal and reapplication to the guest’s hair. Great for someone who loves to put their hair up and go as it provides flexible movement.
I-Tips are single-strand hair with higher maintenance required. The extension has to move up every 6-8 weeks, and reinstall every 12-16 weeks for beautiful volume. An advantage for I-Tips is that the hair is reusable. Application process takes up to 3 hours.
Weft
Volume WEFT extensions are installed by creating a beaded foundation and sewing in the weft extensions for voluminous full coverage. This method allows for easy removal and reapplication to the guest’s hair. Great for clients with dense hair that want full coverage of their natural hair.
Weft extensions are recommended for clients with thicker hair or adds more fullness for clients with thinner hair. Weft extensions have to move up every 6-8 weeks and reinstall every 12-16 weeks.
