My interest in the beauty industry started during my high school years. I would do friends and family’s hair and makeup for special occasions. I decided to “go for it” and graduated Beau Monde of cosmetology in 2004. After that, I started an apprenticeship at Dosha Salon and worked there for a few years. I tried other places but they were never the right fit, so I decided to work for myself for 8 years. During that time, I had two lil’ babes close together (13mo), so I worked Saturdays and was a stay at home mom for a while. Meanwhile, my really good friend Caitlin had been working at Annastasia Salon for a long time and was always talking about how great it was to have a salon family who loves and supports one another. I became more interested every time I saw her and wanted to get back to doing what I loved.

I joined the Annastasia team in 2014, and I couldn’t be happier! I have lived in Portland most of my life, my daughter is 4 and my son is 5. We love to do anything outdoors, especially camping. I also love to cook, going to culinary school was my second career choice. I’ve been doing hair for 13 years and I’m still learning. I like having constant new education opportunities because it shows that anything is possible.

Everyone has different hair and I always love a good challenge. I have curly hair, so I know how hard it can be to find the right person to give you that amazing cut. Color has always been my specialty and balayage is currently my favorite thing to do because anyone can pull it off with any shade of color! When my guests thank me for making them feel amazing, it’s such a great feeling, and that is why I love my job.
